6-Month Outsole Warranty New Balance updates the Lav to version 2 for improved support and comfort. The shoe incorporates an updated version of Fresh Foam, Fresh Foam X, which provides the midsole with greater rebound and improved stability, New Balance reconstructed the shoes upper with FITWEAVE material, a carry over from NB's running category. The shoe also skirts the bootie construction of it's predecessor with a more traditional tongue. V2 again features an External Heel Counter, but it rises higher than the previous version for greater stability and support. The ankle collar comes up a little higher for a more locked in fit. All in all, the Lav v2 is easier to get on and off, more stable, and more cushioned the original. Width: D (Wide) Upper: The FITWEAVE construction is highly versatile, and amplifies strength and support without compromising flexibility. This version doesn't feature a full bootie construction, and it has a traditional tongue for easier on and off. NDure technology makes use of NB PU for enhanced durability. The External Heel Counter rises higher on the shoe for improved stability and support. The ankle collar is more substantial on v2 for better support and a locked in fit. Midsole: Fresh Foam X is incorporated into the midsole for greater rebound and stability. An Ortholite Insert further improves comfort. Outsole: The non-marking, NDurance rubber outsole is highly durable, and optimized for performance on hard courts. Because of excellent heel cushioning, the Lav has a 12mm heel-to-toe drop.
