The post discharge formula is designed to bridge the nutritional gap between low birthweight and term infant formula. Aptamil Nutriprem 2 post discharge formula has higher levels of nutrients than standard infant milks to support catch-up growth for preterm infants. It can be used for infants until 6 months corrected age. It is nutritionally complete and contains prebiotic oligosaccharides (GOS/FOS*) and milk fat, which are currently not contained in other post discharge formulas.
